On July 11, Rented Mule will open the “Music in the Park” concert series in Phoenix. This band, an ensemble with great chemistry and diverse musical influences, plays a wide variety of music in the tradition of western swing, country, boogie woogie, and blues.
Band members, Steve Quenneville, Bob Fleming, and Dave Liddy were founding members of the popular 1970s group, Moss Back Mule Band, and with the addition of a rhythm section, their repertoire inspires people to either listen closely or jump out of their seats and start dancing.
Known for their excellent musicianship and vocals, Rented Mule band members have shared the concert stage with professional entertainers, such as Charley Daniels, Leonard Skinner, Hank Williams Jr., Pure Prairie League, and Mickey Gilley. They have a musical history that goes back nearly four decades, and their appeal is in large part due to the easy interaction with the audience that creates a memorable event for all who attend.
Donations are needed to keep the concert coming to Phoenix. If anyone can help, send a contribution (check made out to: Phoenix Community Concert Series) to the Town of Schroeppel, 69 County Route 57A, Phoenix, 13135 (Attn: Linda Millett).
