The Oswego Lions Club will host The First Rivers Edge “handmade” Craft Show on Sunday, June 10. The event will take place at 1830 Bridie Square, in Oswego. Hours for the Craft Show will be from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
“As with our past fundraising events, we are expecting capacity crowds and another successful event for our club” said Steve Jurivich, Oswego Lions Club President. “We will have entertainment by the Cortini Brothers and Mike Shiel, the United States Coast Guard will present boating safety, and Oswego Karate will give demonstrations and the Lions Club will be doing a bicycle helmet give away with fittings.” Bounce Around Inflatable’s will also be there to keep the kids busy.
The Lions Club is also working with “Pride of New York” to bring in New York state product vendors. Some of the New York vendors will be Americana Winery and Thousand Island Winery, and Yancey’s Fanceys.
There will be a great variety of craft vendors including “hand candied mittens, hand poured candles, homemade dips, and sauces, wood turned kitchen items, florals, cookies, wood creations, outdoor wood furniture and crafts, soaps and lotions, jewelry, canvas bags, homemade purses, tie dye shoes and clothing, handmade childrens clothes, and many more wonderful “hand crafted items!
There is still space available if anyone is interested in bringing your handmade craft to the event.
“With your help and support, we can make this event a huge success that will allow us to fulfill our mission and continue to provide services needed most in our community” said Denise Constanza, show chairperson. Donations are always accepted.
Proceeds from past fund-raising events have helped to support Camp Hollis, Children’s Fund at Oswego Hospital, Oswego Salvation Army, The Elementary School Drug Free Program, the “H” and Mary Dowd scholarship fund as well as provide eyeglasses and hearing aids to individuals in need, just to mention a few.
