The Oswego High School Athletic Department is hosting the first-ever Hall of Fame Golf Classic on Sunday, Oct. 2 as part of its homecoming/Induction weekend.
The tournament will tee off with a shotgun start at Battle Island at 1:30 pm with a four-person captain-and-crew format. The cost of the event ($75 per person; $300 per team), includes 18 holes of golf with a cart followed by a dinner in the Battle Island Restaurant. Included are on-course games: longest drive, closest to the pin, a string to shorten putts, mulligans and more.
According to athletic director Scott Sugar, the Hall of Fame Golf Classic completes an already-special weekend. “With homecoming festivities and the Hall of Fame induction, the tournament will be the final event of a weekend that truly shows Buccaneer Pride for our current student athletes and those of the past.”
Proceeds from the tournament will be used by OHS athletic teams for special projects and events.
For more information or to register a team, contact Scott Sugar at 341-2019. Corporate and hole sponsorships are still being accepted as well. Any local business or civic organization wishing to support the Hall of Fame Classic should contact Sugar or any member of the Oswego High School coaching staff.
