Memorial golf tournament to benefit Hospice

The Allison Regner Balcom 2012 Golf Open is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. at Tamarack Golf Course on county Route 1 in Oswego. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit Oswego County Hospice patients and their families.

Allison was an Oswego County Home Health Aide who died in a motor vehicle accident going to work in August 2000. According to her mother, Elaine Regner, Allison loved her job and helping people.

“By holding this golf open, Allison is still helping her patients,” Regner said.

Entry fee for the 18-hole, captain and crew tournament is $65 per person and includes greens fees and cart, prizes and dinner at the 1881 Steakhouse following the tournament. To attend the dinner only, the cost is $15. Tee sponsorships are available for $50.
