Old-Fashioned plow day

The North Country Draft Horse Club will host the annual "Old Fashioned Plow Day" on Sunday, May 26 at noon at Fields Family Farm. Participants must be members of the North Country Draft Horse Club. NY DEC accepting bids for firewood

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is accepting bids from homeowners to cut firewood on state forests.  Due to the increased demand for firewood, sales will only be offered through a sealed bid auction and not by lottery.  Unlike past years, there is no need to sign up in advance to participate in the bid process.

SPCA yard sale

The Oswego County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) invites people to take in the beautiful scenery of Lake Ontario while people shop for second-hand goods. The SPCA will hold its annual huge yard sale Saturday May 25 in Breitbeck Park in Oswego. The sale will take place from 9 a.m. until items sell out, rain or shine, at the pavilion.

Fort Ontario hosts Post Cemetery tour May 18

 Commemorate Armed Forces Day, May 18, by coming to Fort Ontario State Historic Site on our seasonal opening day and attending a walking tour of the Post Cemetery. The Post Cemetery presents a cross section of those who served and died at Fort Ontario from the French and Indian War through World War II; it contains the bodies of 77 individuals, including soldiers, officers, wives, children and one soldier’s mother.

Oswego Health’s annual Fulton Multi-Organ Blood Analysis to be held June 1 in the cafeteria of G. Ray Bodley High School. Oswego Health and the Fulton Kiwanis Club have teamed up once again to offer the community this important screening.
